Our Fees
The priority of The Downs’ Governors, Senior Leadership Team and Head remains dedicated to providing the best educational and all-round experience for all our pupils, despite the Government's announcement of an imposition of VAT on Independent School Fees. We have capped the consequential fee increase for the remainder of the 2024/25 academic year to 5%, rather than the 20% being introduced in January 2025.

Bursaries we offer
Bursaries are awarded to families who require financial support to send their child or children to The Downs. They range in value and are limited in number each year.
If you wish to apply, please get in touch with our bursar. It’s a formal process that includes a confidential means test. The Governors’ Bursary Committee evaluate each case individually before bursaries are allocated. Awards are reviewed annually and adjustments can be made if applicant’s financial circumstances change.
