Our state-of-the-art theatre, complete with raked seating and high quality sound and lighting systems, contains an abundance of budding talent throughout the school year.

Creative magic
Each year group puts on an annual production and we love to see how students light up on stage. Autumn term holds the excitement of our auditioned Senior production, featuring everything from show-stopping musicals like Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat to witty plays like The Importance of Being Earnest.
Individual tuition
Nurturing talent in speech and drama, private lessons can be arranged individually or in small groups. Our skilled teachers get incredible results, building on children’s confidence and personal expression.
Examinations take place during the Summer term where grades in spoken poetry or acting are marked by external examiners. Speech and drama festivals see our brave dramatists go head-to-head, competing against other schools.
From Years 2 to 8, opportunities come thick and fast, including performing at local festivals or taking a Vanguard examination in Poetry Speaking or Acting.
Options of group, duo or individual lessons are available (at varying costs).

Preparing for a dramatic future
Encouraging children destined for the boards a step further, we offer tailored preparation for those aiming for drama scholarships at specific senior schools. Additional theatre trips and spell-binding performances from visiting troupes are arranged to inspire and delight our aspirational young stars.
