Working at The Downs is a joy – it’s the type of environment you can’t help but get swept up in. The environment is awe inspiring, the children and wider community are so kind and fun. There’s a huge range of roles at The Downs from specialist gardeners and grounds teams to specialist subject teachers and teaching assistants. We are a 100 people strong team!

Safeguarding
For all the right reasons, safeguarding is a serious topic. Every staff member must promote and safeguard the welfare of children. The school has procedures (laid out in the staff handbook) which detail exact expectation. All staff must continuously develop knowledge, understanding and skills as required by the school’s Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL).
